Fox Creek is only 45 kilometres due South of Adelaide, South Australia, where the McLaren Vale wine region lies in a beautiful fertile valley between the rolling hills of the Fleurieu Peninsula. The Fox Creek Vineyards, winery and nineteenth century stone Cellar Door cottage are found between the villages of McLaren Vale and Willunga in the centre of the Vale. The grounds are beautiful with a lake, water birds, ancient large eucalypts and olives adjacent to the bridge which crosses Fox Creek on the way to the cottage.
The valley extends from the hills in the East to the coast of St Vincents Gulf in the West. The maritime breezes reduce the average temperature of the valley to below that of the Adelaide plains to the North.
For the visitor there is plenty of accommodation, many restaurants, long stretches of uncrowded beaches and many places to explore on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.
Fox Creek's Cellar Door cottage is on Malpas Road, Willunga and is open for tastings between 10am & 5pm seven days a week (except for Christmas Day).
