Sourced from a single premium McLaren Vale vineyard planted in 1910, the gnarly old vines produce fruit with unique flavours and tannin textures. The fruit is harvested by hand when optimum ripeness is achieved. Fermentation for 10 days in open top fermenters, hand plunged twice daily. 20 months maturation in French Oak barrels (new and seasoned), with only the best barrels selected for the final blend. A medium bodied, balanced and multilayered wine.
